ArtSpace 404
ArtSpace404 is a contemporary, experimental art venue produced by the Arts Council of Sonoma County located in downtown Santa Rosa. ArtSpace404 serves the community by promoting artists and organizations through creative uses of the gallery space, showcasing “excellence” through various media to be experienced by the public. ArtSpace404 promotes the accessibility of art for everyone through outreach and added programming.

June 5 – July 17 / Reception: Friday, June 5, 5pm-7pm
(Re)consider highlights personal and social conventions of waste, consumption, and disposability through the work of San Francisco Bay Area artists Cameron Kelly, Alicia Escott, Anna Adair, and Julia Goodman. As recent MFA graduates of California College of the Arts, each artist responds to the mass production of goods and its consequent waste by re-contextualizing and manipulating found objects.
ILLUMINATED ARCHITECTURE II
July 31 – September 11 / Reception: Friday, July 31, 5pm-7pm
Illuminated Architecture II is an all-encompassing environment of animated light and sound. Through applications of projected pattern, color, and auditory stimulus set in volumetric structures, Santa Rosa Junior College educator and artist, Michael McGinnis, constructs an immersive installation that demonstrates the theatrical possibilities in fine art and encourages audience participation and engagement.
ARTRAILS PREVIEW EXHIBIT

Open Studios: Saturday-Sunday, October 10-11, 10am-5pm
ARTrails Open Studios celebrates 24 years as one of the nation’s oldest open studio programs and the only juried event of its kind in the North Bay. The ARTrails Preview Exhibit features artwork from each of the participating ARTrails artists, showcasing a wide range of media such as painting, drawing, woodworking, ceramics, fiber arts, and glass.
ESSENSUAL DELIGHTS; FIELD NOTES
November 6 – December 11 / Reception: Friday, November 6, 5pm-7pm
Essensual Delights is an intimate investigation of research and experiments resulting from each artist’s investigations of Sonoma County as “place”. This documentation of visual and audio work of land energies, plant-life, and natural waterways features individual and collaborative works by featured artists Cathy Richardson, Corey Hitchcock, and Sasha Duer. Essensual Delights illuminates awareness that community is as interdependent as the natural ecosystem.
